Our beginning

A relationship-centered program for women to rebuild.

Hope for Women, LLC got its start in the fellowship hall of Jasper First Methodist Church. Several members who had experienced the pain associated with family members and close friends in addiction, met in July of 2012. Out of that meeting came commitments to serve in starting a focused ministry to help women wanting recovery, to be off the streets. We would offer a safe place to live, along with food and other life essentials. The plan was to provide these things while teaching these women how to live without alcohol or drugs, and to learn of God’s grace and mercy for them.

A managing board was formed that created the operating agreement to guide day to day leadership. This board reached out to many in the Walker County community, and they graciously poured their love and resources into the ministry.

Hope for Women works alongside local churches, counselors, Walker County-area organizations, and state partners to provide a 16-bed residential setting with faith-based support and 12-step participation.

Today, Hope for Women, LLC is a strong ministry that God has blessed, to allow many to become free from addiction, and to find their new normal, so they can reunite with their families.
